Hi ElDo00oooo…funny you should post Sluggo, because Annie is modeled after Sluggo as a tribute to one of my favorite childhood strips, “Nancy.” Another “Lila: reader also figured out that Annie is named after a popular and successful poker player, Annie Duke.
