The Meaning of Lila by John Forgetta and L.A. Rose for February 11, 2023

It wasn’t even a thing here when I was young(er). Only the last ten-twenty years or so, shops and restaurants are really commercializing it here.

People all around but I don’t hear a sound

We sell heart shaped pizzas for V day in my restaurant. I am always amazed as to how many we sell. It was over 250 last year.

I hate val’s day too. I once invited a girl I was dating to val’s day dinner, at her favorite pizza place (who was offering heart-shaped pizza). She broke up with me the week before – didn’t want to be romanced.

Lila has an actual boyfriend? How have I missed that?

Oh, I know that she’s gone out on “dates”, but this is this first I’ve seen her use the term “boyfriend”. (And she didn’t tell us “his” name.)
