Looked it up she is the patron saint of automobiles and drivers since 1925. The Catholic Church learned from the Pagans to always asign a patron for everything.

Something I’ve never seen is the image of La Virgen de Guadalupe painted on a low-rider around here. Very disrespectful.

The only one I feared as a kid was atomic war. I lived on military bases, which had frequent atomic attack drills. Instead of hunkering down in a shelter for an hour, Dad would take us driving off the base until it was over. He knew those shelters would be worthless in a real attack.

It seems ironic that the patron saint of drivers would be a saint of Rome. Have you seen how Romans drive? I guess they truly need the protection of a saint.

I absolutely love this comic strip. One of the few that produces out-loud laughs, this one in particular. Why do you torture us and make us wait 2 days for part 2?
