Little Pedro is an elementary school kid who’s stories occur in and around the mid-1970’s and early 80’s. He’s one of nine kids born to poor immigrant parents from Mexico. His stories explore his family’s time as sharecroppers in the US, his intermittent trips to visit his relatives in “Old Mexico” and his struggles to live in a world that straddles both of those cultures.

There are so many characters in Mexikid Stories that, for scientific reasons, I won’t explain their  motives or backstories. Just know that these stories (and characters) are 100% true, 90% of the time.
