The average person accidentally consumes one to two pound of bugs each year. I believe they are already dead by the time they end up in your salad. Most are high in protein, yum.
This reminds me – I need to check on the Expiration Date on my flour. Last batch I had was in the pantry for a while and had grown Weevils. Weevil eggs come with the wheat when it is harvested. If the flour is not Cooked properly, or in time… the eggs hatch. Kind of puts off the appetite with tiny dark bugs in your bread.

A guy goes to the garden supply to ask what he should use to kill the bugs on his marijuana plants. He wants something healthy to kill bugs.

I’ve seen wrapped candy bars left in warm room being full of tiny beetles. Started freezing them after that!
