I remember when sneakers were $5 shoes. Then they were called “athletic shoes” and cost $50 a pair overnight – of course the price has only gone up from there.
.
As my wife is fond of saying put the word, “designer,” “petite,” “tall” or “maternity” in front of a piece of clothing and it doubles the price. Maternity mittens?
I’m old enough to have laid a dime on the counter & gotten a ceramic mug of good coffee – that was not empty for as long as I sat there; the anti-Starbucks on every point……
Yes, I like cold coffee and I drink at least one cup per day. I do it at home, where I heat half a cup of water in the microwave, add instant coffee, sugar (I prefer brown) and powdered milk for cream. I cool it by putting ice cubes in it and adding cold water from the ice box to fill the cup. Since I do it to refresh myself, not to impress friends, I have never felt any need to go downtown and buy it.

I remember when people would complain cause the coffee was cold. Now they refinance their house for one.

Don’t care for cold coffee – not iced, no coffee ice cream, no coffee-flavored candy. If it stops perking before it hits the cup, it’s too cold.

I remember when “mountain grown” coffee was all the rage.

I guess she’s moderately confused—that’s not what “cold brew” means. xD

I always thought “cold brew” was beer.
