    Finding the notes on the scale takes a lot of practice, but once you know the positions, you can get along ok. It’s the signs and symbols – the nuances of music – that live above the staff that make the output interesting. PC keyboards also take lots of practice to learn, but sometimes the nuances are all flat. The so-called best seller lists include some deadly dull reading.

    The pedals look like they’re for a player piano, in which case no “instructions” are needed.
