Best thing to do when all of a sudden the news isn’t going the way your ever-so-wonderful ideas think it ought to go.

Another way of turning a blind eye to reality.

Remember those old TV’s? A little tiny dot glowed once turned off.

It’s time to trot out this old Mark Twain quote: “A man who does not read the newspaper is uninformed. A man who reads the newspaper is misinformed.”

It was true even more than 100 years ago.

Twain also had distain for Congress.

“Well” informed? Doubtful.

Stopped watching news tv in fall of 2019 and haven’t missed it. Catch the headlines online, pass on the commentary, watch the weather, find a chair in the sun and read a good book. Been feeling better ever since.

I got it, I got it, TV and well informed in the same sentence, that’s the joke, right?
