One neighbour had tombstones and an nine foot witch for Halloween; but by November 2nd they were replaced by an eight foot Santa Grinch with candy canes. The beauty of late fall in Canada, is that you can litter your lawn, because you won’t have to mow it until spring.

We’re in a warm spell, so I’m putting mup my Christmas lights today, but I wait until December to turn them on, I promise! And the Boy Scouts delivered our Christmas wreath last weekend.

Could be worse. Consider a 5 foot high inflatable turkey. We have a new neighbor who is the queen of ugly, often tasteless holiday decorations.

Best way to make Christmas season into another ho-hum hot sale time.

In Canada it is an unwritten rule that no Christmas decorations go up until after Rememberance Day (Nov 11). There are some who ignore it.

Maybe those decorations were never taken down from last year?
