Act now and we will send you this Free Gift (If it isn’t free, is it still a gift?) a set of Ginsu Steak knives (made in Ohio) absolutely free, (in low voice) Just pay separate shipping and handling.
Watched a guy switch furniture sale tags. New price was higher than old. Then he added a sale sign that knocked the price back to what it was before.
Same for other deals. You can bet that new bathroom offer of 30% off means the final price will be just about what it was before the sale began. Huckster named Hannum once said ’there’s a sucker born every minute.’ True enough.
[used to be a tag line on that_ If no sucker is born one minute, the federal government stands good for it._]
Sometimes those sales do catch us just right. I recently smashed the crystal on my dive watch while pulling the skiff out of the water. I went to Amazon and then to eBay looking for a new one and almost immediately after exiting. I get pinged with an offer of $85 off the price of a factory new Seiko Dive watch from a seller on eBay. It included free shipping, so I took the deal.
There’s a joke somewhere I heard about a person so proud that they bought so much on sale that the savings exceeded their spouse’s annual income. Now “that’s” some savings.
Exactly 100%. Window shopping is the cheapest kind of shopping. At least you get more exercise than scrolling through millions of pointless “deals” online.
I have a Baby Huey comic book where Huey’s Mama saved hundreds of dollars. Of course all Papa could think about was the hundreds she spent to save that.

If you decide not to buy it, you don’t save UP to 100%; you save 100%. There’s a difference.
