We have always had limited minutes on our home phone, but it is relatively rare for us to make phone calls in general even back when it was our only phone.
Now we have that a cell phone each and and an online number we still keep the home phone. We make outgoing calls on my cell phone as it has unlimited minutes (use for work). We generally give out our home landline for incoming calls. Husband has limited minutes both ways on his phone.
Between us when we need to communicate – say I am in the kitchen and he is upstairs in our office or I am at my embroidery meeting and he is home and can’t find something – we text. Tonight we had an online meeting for our reenactment unit and we gave up long ago trying to both sit in our office together for same, so I was in the kitchen and he was in our office and we text between us if we need to discuss anything.
