Monty says, "I guess some things never change." Doc says, "In what sense?" Monty says, "Well, when I was a young lad, I recall Christmas mornings?Being so excited to unwrap a favorite toy!...And I'd play and play and play for hours!" Monty says, "But then.....Boom. No interest....The toy that only moments before was the center of my universe, became suddenly, inexplicably passe..." Monty says, "So...Do you need anything shrinkwrapped?" Doc says, "Um. Not at the moment."
When I was 10 I would have given anything for one of those cable-driven toy helicopters that could fly when you turned the crank. My farming parents (1950s) couldn’t afford it until I was 12, but by then my boyish dreams had moved on to other things (like my first 22-calibre bolt-action rifle). I still feel bad about outgrowing the toy before I even got it.
