Two sun-burned ship-wrecked wretches, arguing while their bottoms shrivel from constant salt-water immersion? —It could only be Monty and Moonie….

Local, temporary weather does not negate climate change. Global warming is a scientifically indisputable fact. For instance – did you know that the lake effect snowfall which occurs in upper state New York was once much less than it is today? The reason is because the Great Lakes used to freeze over in winter, preventing most of the evaporation that contributes to the snowfall. All of the nay-sayers will eventually understand – after it has become too late.

And all our big cities are built on the coast. The world is always changing. We just now have the media coverage that allows us to see it all over. Where I live it used to be hotter in the summer.

Sooooo…back to the strip? When is Fleshy going to fall out of the palm tree and try and eat the parrot who has just returned from “New America” carrying a response to the message he left with tied to his leg, a beer, sunflower seeds, and a can of cat food?

Yes it has. Under-sea archaeologists have located native “indian” sites 32 miles west of the coast of North America.

The U.N.‘s IPCC report predicted about a meter rise over the next century. Even if that is true, it’s less than half an inch a year. Will we be able to get out of the way before we all drown? Meantime, even the IPCC is getting concerned that the temperature rises they predicted have not happened. I believe their word for it was an “embarassment”. The last count I heard was 14 years with no significant temperature increase based on satellite measures.

This movement is not scientific; it’s political. Read the Climategate emails. Consider the dishonesty of Al Gore’s movie showing Manhattan under 20 feet of water. And the dishonesty of the rebranding from Global Warming to Climate Change so they can take credit for all unusual weather anywhere. Of course there is climate change! It always changes, always has, always will. And humans will adapt, just as we have in every climate period.

    1. The Arctic is decreasing at a rate about 6 times faster than the Antarctic is increasing.2. While blathering about how cold weather disproves climate change, you should, perhaps, check weather conditions in the southern hemisphere.3. Climate change explains more severe weather on both ends of the spectrum.4. If you don’t think that a 1 meter rise in sea level is bad, I would strongly suggest that you don’t move to any of the currently-inhabited Pacific atolls.
