Sir, do you care for some Halloween candy? No. I'm self administering the marshmallow test. Perhaps you've heard of it... A child is left with a marshmallow. If they can resist eating it and tell the researcher returns, they receive more. If not... Nothing. Turns out the child who resists goes on to greater intellectual and financial rewards in life... Fortunately, my superior intellect allowed me to deduce that marshmallow tests are immaterial when applied to heirs of vast estates...
It’s incredible how the “superior intellect” always finds justification for spontaneous gratification (and gluttony, and the innate superiority of the inheritor class), no matter what mental acrobatics it must perform.
