They say as AI improves, more jobs will be taken over by technology and tell eventually there won't be any jobs left for humans... How so? When AI reaches the point where it can replace even the highest status jobs... Doctors, lawyers, CEOs, politicians... There'll be plenty of jobs for humans... What jobs? Grunt work.
In the richest country in the history of the world, we have yet to figure out a way to make sure that everybody’s basic needs are taken care of without a work requirement. Half the population (little children, retired people, students, disabled, institutionalized) doesn’t have to work at all, but way too many of the remaining half has to work their tails off for very little money and no security. This isn’t right. We can do better.
