Only a chopping block away from leftovers until Valentine’s day

Our son and his wife are vegans, and hosted this year, so we got most of the turkey. My wife will be boiling the carcass for broth/soup tomorrow. Warning: do NOT EVER try vegan “carrot cake”.

With absolutely NO relation to Hitchie’s “Rear Window” but maybe CCR can make it… (Hopefully not “Up Around the Bend”)

Just got home from anywhere, lock the front door, oh yeah!

Got to sit down, gobble turkey remains

Food frustration sets in, pretty soon someone’s standin’

Doo, doo, doo, lookin’ in the back door

I know some vegans. Yet I’m never tempted to excuse my carnivore behavior or ask what shape their tofu was in. Nor inquire if there is such a thing as ‘Beyond Fowl’ since bean curd seems a pretty desperate choice and words that sound alike but spelled differently pose awkward conversation points.

We love grilled steak, but with the price of the fancy cuts getting so high, we may try the tofu version soon.

Minor nitpick – ‘til is an erroneous back-formation, invented by somebody who thought till was short for until. It isn’t – till is the older form, just as to is older than unto.
