A gastronomic episode for the cast iron stomach. My goodness! My choice would be beer and pretzels. Make that beer, soft pretzels with mustard and more beer.
Damn. Now I’m having a flash-back. Metal trim on the counter, swivel top stools, salt & pepper shakers, catsup in a squeeze bottle. I don’t see an ashtray, oh yeah, it’s 2022.
Out of shot, an urn of coffee, a guy named Frank flippin’ eggs. I understand, now, why the old ones hate change. You lose the things you loved. The lunch counter at Kresge. The smell of Fanny Farmer store, when someone opens the door. Window shopping on Main street.Did I ever imagine, I’d miss the A&P?

Depending on where you’re from, that’s either pee-KAN or pee-KON. (Also, that’s either EEther or IYther.)

There are some toffee cashews at a local market that looked good until I shook one of the boxes and they all stayed in one solid piece.
