Yes. Its is in the past. A long time ago. But people constantly mistake it for the future… OUR future… our DESTINY… because they see robots and spaceships, and instantly associate them with all the other sci-fi they’ve seen that was supposed to be the future.
If the internet has taught me anything, it’s that not all consumers of entertainment- movies, books, TV, etc.- pay strict attention.
