All cars pretty much look the same to me nowadays. There was a time you could easily differentiate between the big car manufacturers just by the shape…..not any more.

EgrayjamesTotally agree. And the color palette now on the road would put a smile on Henry Ford’s face. When my wife and I bought a new car a few months ago. I told the sales woman, “not white, black, silver or 50 shades of gray”.

When I got a Corolla about 25 years ago, the salesman said “this is the single most popular car in America!” and I said “you say that like it’s a selling point.”

    According to Google:

“Why is the Toyota Corolla so popular?”“It’s a very stylish car, and it comes in a variety of different colors and trim levels to suit your needs. 2. Another reason the new Corolla is so popular is because it’s affordable. It’s one of the most affordable cars on the market, which makes it a great option for budget-minded shoppers.”

Toyota makes affordable, solid, reliable cars and this has resulted in them having become ubiquitous.

It looks like a Toyota, but rides like an "Olds"mobile.

My parents bought the first model year Corolla in 1966. We called it “The Toy”.
