Yeah, the balance beam thing makes it look like he’s having fun.

He should have The Lonely Man by Joe Harnell playing in the background, and fantasize about being Bill Bixby.

Adjust your stride to fit the spacing of the ties. It’s a bit short for most people, making it a bit uncomfortable. That fits the mood.

That is quite a drastic turn for a train

That track doesn’t look very abandoned. Ties and ballast in good shape, no weeds, and shiny rail tops. I predict a train in Monty’s future.

As CCR sang, who’ll stop the rain, I mean train.

Where’s the Body……Seems nowadays every time you see someone walking tracks on television they find a body, so Where’s the body? If he finds one, I’m betting some of you wish it were Sedgewick.

The balance beam act just might cheer you up so by all means don’t do it Monty. :-[

I hear a train a coming’, it’s rollin’ round the bend.

Monty’s enjoying his dejection too much to ruin it with any amusement. Have to keep the mood down…

The train tracks look rather small.

I always check for rust on the top of the rails – only way to be sure that stretch of track is truly abandoned. Trains are FAST. People are killed each year trying to cross Amtrak lines.

That private eye storyline doesn’t seem so bad now.

Monty’s been derailed.

A couple places around here rolled up the tracks to make pedestrian pathways. It’s not the same without the tracks to walk on.
