Looked at the thermometer, wished I hadn’t, five whole degrees above zero. The forecast, this morning cloudy, this afternoon partly cloudy. High a whopping 22.
Chris, I too have procrastinated in buying the supplies for a Thanksgiving meal. I did find the turkey on sale, but that’s the only thing so far.
Rita, I know what you mean about getting started. I have pictures and draperies to hang and Coke memorabilia to sort through for display and I have been putting off starting the projects for a couple of months now. Cross stitch is so much more fun.
Yesterday when I went over to the storage units I looked around and decided that all of it could either be put into the one we are keeping or brought here. So I finally bit the bullet and emptied one completely. It all fits nicely in the one with even a little room to spare. Now we only have one unit to pay for, and it is the one that is grandfathered in with a 15% discount. Not only that, but they didn’t require a vacate notice, so they gave me a refund of over $60 and applied it to the remaining unit for the December rent. There is still quite a bit that needs to be sorted through, though. Talk about “getting started”.
I took both cats for a walk in turn yesterday afternoon. Walking Smokey is a whole different experience than walking Sting. She wants to stroll around and explore and spends a great deal of time just sniffing at a stationary object. Sting, on the other hand, spends most of his time running. I have a hard time keeping up with the boy. Between that and moving day at the storage unit, I was wiped out!
We watched “Sink the Bismark” yesterday evening. The star was Kenneth Moore. It’s a really good character study besides having pretty good action scenes.
It started out at 14 this morning and we have now achieved our high of 43. It was much nicer coming home from Walmart than it was going this morning. Now for the task of unpacking the bags and putting it all away. ;) oh how I sometimes wish I could blink my eyes, nod my head and all the house work would be done. ;)

It was only 34 this morning! WooHoo! The Sun just broke through the clouds, so I can open the drapes and blinds and let some wonderful solar heat in.
My project of cleaning the closets is in full swing. The hardest part? Getting started!
