The last two days haven’t been all that hectic, but I just plain forgot to do my toon tour. Pretty sad, since I only have 2 comics on the tour.
There is a vacant unit across the street from me that is for rent. On Monday, Mike came and filled out an application for it. I happen to know the landlord, and it looks good for him moving in there. It will be interesting living directly across the street from him.
Yesterday was prayer group, very good as usual. Then last night was our monthly HOA meeting. We did manage to get a lot accomplished and it was somewhat orderly instead of last month’s chaos.
I’m off for a blood draw this morning to track the progress of my thyroid medication. It’s always a good day to visit the vampire, right?
I bought a new Emeril Lagasse “Power Airfryer 360” the other day and it was delivered yesterday. We decided that it was time to replace the toaster-oven and this looked like a good idea. I still haven’t had a chance to check out its functions other than starting it up long enough to burn the shipping oils off the heating elements and washing everything. It’s a bit taller than the old toaster-oven, but not that much bigger. The funny thing is that ever since I bought it online, the only ads I have been seeing online are for that machine.
It’s about 40 outside on its way to 52. We had expected temps to dip below freezing last night, but there’s no frost on the roofs in front of me so I guess it did not. In fact, the next 7 days were all supposed to be below freezing. Today’s 10 day shows only a couple of them. I wonder why man thinks he can predict something as variable and complex as weather with any accuracy.
Everyone have a blessed day. (A recent Miss Manners column condemned folks for saying “Have a blessed day”. The letter was written by an avowed ashiest who was offended by the greeting, saying that it was proselytizing. MM basically told him to get over himself.)
Good morning, Vagabonds.
