It has been a hectic week. Last Friday my friend and I went to Rolla, she had a 7 am appointment for lab work. When we got there they told her that they could not do the labs until 7 days prior to her appointment in May. So we went to Denny’s and enjoyed a long leisurely breakfast. We followed up with shopping at Hobby Lobby, which is turning out to be more of a seasonal store and less of a hobby store. And a stop at the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Meanwhile back at home, my daughter called my husband to say her car was making a funny noise. So he made an appointment at the dealership to get it repaired and she came by our home to pick up the spare car. So my husband and I took the car in Monday morning, on Tuesday they started the repairs and on Wednesday afternoon we picked it up. With our wallet $1,500 lighter. Ouch!
The family was here on Monday for dinner, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. Wednesday was our normal day at Walmart for our weekly shopping trip. It is hard sometimes to stay within my budget when the prices can change between the time I put an item in the cart and I check out. Thursday I was just tired and vegged out most of the day.
Today my friend and I went to lunch at a new place called Haute Dawgs, decent hot dogs at a decent price. Today it was 76 and moody. As we got to the restaurant it was sunny, then the dark clouds rolled in and brought high winds and buckets of rain. At one point I couldn’t see my car which was parked about five feet from where I was setting. We waited out the rain before going home.
The weather has been all over the place Monday and Tuesday it was sunny and in the forties. Wednesday it was cold rainy and in the low thirties, yesterday was partly sunny and the low sixties and today’s high was 76 with a lot of rain and high winds. Gusts up to 60 MPH. And that catches up my week.
Good evening, Vagabonds.
