Today’s forecast is back to 70/71. Considering we’ve been coming up short of the forecasts by 1 or 2 degrees every day, I predict 69. Pretty blue sky and very clear air this morning.
The electrician that fixed the pool lights on Thursday really got my ire up yesterday. He was supposed to call me to let him in to replace an outlet in the exercise room in the morning. He not only never called (either me or the other contact person – neither of us had ANY missed calls on our phones), but he put in his report to his boss that he had tried calling repeatedly and closed out the work order. I let our community manager know exactly what had happened and told her to pass that on to the electrician’s boss.
Mark, I went to the Weather Channel and their headline said that the Starship test flight ended in two explosions. I didn’t read any further.
We’re in the middle of Formula One weekend here in Vegas. Mike has subscribed to the “F1” channel on Roku so we’ve been watching some of the highlights of the practice runs. The first night one of the little (8" or so) manhole covers popped up from the vibration of the cars running on the streets (two of the cars hit it and it damaged the undercarriage of one and put the other one completely out of commission) so they stopped the practice session after 9 minutes in order to take the time to weld down every last one of them. One hopes that they remove the welds when the race is over tomorrow morning. Last night was the qualifying heats and Mike is coming over this afternoon so he and Michael can watch them (prerecorded) on our big TV. The race starts at 10:00 tonight. I’m glad I don’t live near enough to the race course to hear it!
Bible study this morning was great, as usual. It’s so much fun to study God’s Word with a group of women and our teacher/leader is very good.
Good morning, Vagabonds.
