Tito is ready to believe what he’s told. He trusted whomever told him the tree would launch into space if he didn’t hold it down, and immediately let go when told the tree was rooted. At best you can say Tito tested the hypothesis trees are rooted, and learned.
There’s a reason I lean against walls. Keeps them from falling over. The good news is they stay up for a while after I leave, giving someone else a chance to take over the duty.
