So what did “Pyramid Club” mean in 1949?
Only contemporary one I can find is an African-American arts organization in Philidelphia. Not sure if that’s the reference Bushmiller was going for, but the only other one popping up is a nightclub from the 70s, so that’s out.
Ahah…found it. It’s basically a pyramid scam that was going around in the late 40s.
