Three channels if you were lucky. Our local affiliates carried the same 10 Gilligan’s Island reruns, 10 Hogan’s Heroes reruns etc. ad infinitum, to the point that i could recite lines from memory. Between that and the endless soaps, stupid game shows, and “Captain and the Clown”-type local kid’s shows, there was hardly anything worth watching back then either.
