    Huh. So Sluggo used to be a conscientious student. It’s almost as if Gilchrist made up that “indifferent schoolkid who loves nothing more than naps and loafing” character as a lazy trope he could return to dozens and dozens of times rather than come up with, y’know, original ideas.

    Actually, Bushmiller used to adjust the personalities and knowledge of all his characters just to fit whatever joke he wanted to tell.
