I welcome the additional metadata, which is certainly clear if not particularly aesthetically pleasing. I wonder at the link to nancyandsluggo.com, though, which seems unrelated to Classic Nancy (and also seems to be unmaintained since 2015).
This looks like a scene from our living room, circa 1948, when we were about the only ones on the block with a TV (Dad worked for GE). Programming did not start until late afternoon, so kids would come over to watch. Howdy Doody, of course, but also Lucky Pup (maybe just a local puppet show), the Kate Smith Show, Joe Palooka, etc. I REFUSE to watch any TV programs or films on anything smaller than my 40" TV!

I wonder if someone told Ernie that in 70 years, kids would be carrying around tv sets in their pockets, would he believe it.

Considering the size of those TV screens back when this ran, the “TVs” kids carry around now are about the same size…
To think that I really wanted one of those tiny black and white TVs you could carry in your hand back in the day…

Nancy has good eyes to be able to follow a show across the street.

From a time when apparently sets were rare and neighbors came over to share.

Is this a tech joke?
