While living in the dorms in college; I would take a lamp cord with stripped ends, twisted the bare wire ends around the heads of two nails, then poke the nails into opposite ends of the hot dog. Place the hot dog on a paper plate, then plug the lamp cord into an outlet. Let sizzle for a bit until cooked to perfection. Obviously, you didn’t touch the hot dog while it was cooking…….
