The joke is in the early days of television, in 1950, due to poor over-the-air reception most TV picture tubes got a blurry picture until you got the TV antenna tuned in just right.

How could such a strong rope just snap like that? Methinks it was cut—maybe by that bully Spike!!

I remember the days when safes, pianos and other large objects would fall out of buildings. Safety regulations weren’t as strict back then.
