My back yard security camera recorded another skunk in the yard last night. I’ve got a live trap that I use to catch feral cats and have caught a couple of skunks. Animal control was not happy with me for catching them. But animal control fusses about the concern for rabies with the feral cats, skunks here are a common carrier of rabies. There is a woman who feeds the cats and naturally the skunks eat the cat food she leaves out. Her neighbors complain about the feeding of the feral cats but Animal Control won’t cite her. I nearly got some rat poison feed yesterday at the store for the skunks but I couldn’t guarantee only skunks would eat it. I may have to trap the thing.

i’ve had wild skunks walk up to me and let me pet them on 2 occasions, one was a mom with 3 kits
