Nancy braced her feet, clenched her knuckles and unhinged her jaw to her chest as she let out a unearthly scream that tore through the window, sill and all. Sluggo attempted to flee, but the scream pursued him, ripping apart the sidewalk and asphalt as he ran hopelessly.
