For 60 years, I’ve been unable to stomach Jerry Lewis. To each his own, I guess.

I think, eventually, Jerry Lewis couldn’t stomach Jerry Lewis….

Screw Jerry Lewis! Eddie Murphy was always the better Nutty Professor.

Lewis’ “Nutty Professor” IS a funny movie . . . in a creepy, Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde kind of way. Why would anyone want to have Buddy Love as a lover or friend?!?

Who’s Minding The Store is still one of his best films and the typewriter scene is one of the best scenes in all of motion pictures.

There should be a law, no remakes, ever. Make your own durn movie, don’t copy someone else’s! Especially Star Trek! Argh!
And, in the words of The Highlander, “There Shall Be Only One!”. Quit making sequels!

It would have been better if somehow they had been watching The Day The Clown Cried (look it up).

I just love the next-to-last panel. Guy and Brad captured Nancy’s emotions, and the entire scene, perfectly.

While I do not care for Jerry Lewis, his comedies were good..

Jerry Lewis was always my hero. I’ll always love him. Look how he did those telethons for MD all those years! He had a great variety show in the late 60s too. Like Fritzi and Nancy, I laughed at his movies and antics until my ribs ached. I enjoyed his old movies with Dean Martin too. The Patsy and The Bellboy are favorites of mine. How can anyone say they don’t like him? =)

I have his Nutty Professor on DVD. I would like to get his Disorderly Orderly. That was funny.

One of the best things in Lewis’ version was Stella Stevens, never sexier, as Miss Purdy.. I like her “Nancyfied” hairstyle in the top panel… but Stella was built more like Fritzi!

I hope you’re having a terrific Sunday. Jerry Lewis did a great deal of good for society for many many years. He is also hysterically funny in a way we will never see again. I wanted to pay tribute while he is still with us to see it! And he has!! He really enjoyed it.
