H’m. She’s confirmation biased.
People can think rationally; that doesn’t mean they will.
Panel 1 is not true. Trump still claims that he won the election even though he could never rationally get his numbers to add up.

Apparently, today’s strip is the only time Mildred conveyed her rational worldview to anyone, obtained an agreement to it upon the first try, and then stopped while she had 100% agreement in the bag.

While I do like the interplay today, I think it is a bit incorrect to say that number can be “biased” or “cherry picked”. I do not believe that is so.
Now….. the use of the data from a number (be it parametric or non-parametric) can be “biased” or “cherry picked” …. but that is a bit different.
