The car dealerships here will sometimes have a “push, pull, tow or drag” sale where they promise to take any vehicle in any condition as a trade in. There have been some absolute wrecks that were traded in, but $50-100 is still better than nothing.
Been there! I had a AMC Ambasador station wagon that was given to me. Drove it as long as I could. Came time to get rid of it I took it to the salvage yard. I was charged $35 for disposal fee. They didn’t want it, but would agree to crush it for that price.
