Ordinary Basil Taking in a literally unbelievable view from inside the cloud city of Helios, Basil gasps in wonder. "How is this possible?" "That, dear boy," Prof. McGookin says in a tone that is as serious as it is cheerful, "is a secret that has been closely guarded for hundreds of years." "Well, where did it come from? How could such a place exist without the rest of the world knowing about it?" the boy blurted, as questions raced through his mind faster than his mouth could ask. "Ahh..." the professor laughed, "just the inquisitive mind I was hoping for!" The jovial old man then paused and heaved a gentle sigh, gathering his thoughts on where to begin a long and complicated story that such a young and impatient mind was eagerly waiting to absorb. "Before the Greeks entered the Bronze Age, before the pharaohs built the pyramids, Helios was a civilization that flourished in science, engineering, art and philosophy," the professor said matter-of-factly, without bombast or jingoistic p
