Editor: To the National Cartoonists Society, re: the 61st Annual Reuben Awards on May 26th. I'm honored to be selected as Editor of the Year by your organization. I hear the ceremony for this prize traditionally sets the tone for the entire night's festivities! However, I regret to inform you that I'm unable to attend due to schedule conflict. Secretary: Too bad you can't go... an evening full of cartoonists sounds like fun. Editor: Yeah... but of all the editors in the country, I can't help but wonder how they chose me... Man: Let's keep going down the editors directory listing until we find one who won't be on vacation that weekend.
