Ordinary Basil. While taking Basil home after their ordeal on the Island of the Volcano Monkeys, Louise takes a detour to see the six-legged frogs of the Masivodious Desert. It's an incredible spectacle, as brilliant light shoots high up into the night sky when the frogs emerge. "What's making this light?" Basil asked in astonishment. "I don't know," Louise replied excitedly. "I've never been this close to it before!" This had a familiar ring to Basil, one that usually spelled trouble. Basil turned and just looked at Louise, not saying anything. It was a look that really didn't need any words. "What?" Louise asked, feigning innocence. "We're not supposed to be here, are we?" Basil asked, knowing the answer before asking it. "Oh, Basil..." Louise replied in her usual, don't-take-things-so-seriously, manner. "It's just light! What's the worst that can hap..." The ground suddenly began to rumble and crack, answering Louise's question before she could even finish asking it... "I... I... do
