that book was ‘Hogfather’ its a parody on Santa Clause and Christmas. I have the book and the movie. Chickwire was described just as you said, he gets disappeared in the book. Terry Pratchett is a great read… at one time his books were the most stolen or shop lifted, in Great Britain.
