While Lola dispatched the Leviathan, I saw the danger was far from over. The beast made a crack in the dome that protected my underwater city! With time running out, I swam back in faster than a dolphin. Being a super master builder, I knew there was only one solution for this dire situation... ...Waterproof duct tape! So with my work done, we rode off into the sunset. Charlie's World Mom: My goodness...Lola dreamed all that? Charlie: Yeah...I think she has a hero-worship thing for me. Mom: Of course she does. Now come sit down for dinner.

Another solution is that told by the Dutch legend about the boy with his finger in the hole of the dam

If the women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy….

So we have no problem with the dream, the underwater world, the pyramid? It’s the duct tape that’s the problem? Okay, got it.

Speaking of injecting reality into a dream sequence, I might have called the guy that fixes cracks in windshields. If is not too large, GM offers a kit that actually works rather well.

How’s Charlie going to get out from under Lola? She looks like she’s settled in for the long run.

Tuck Tape, holds better and you can never clean it off.

Are you sure those are Charlie’s feet under Lola? Maybe it’s the “Leviathan’s” eyes.

Actually there was an episode of Mythbusters where they built a boat made out of duct tape. As part of testing the myth they put a hole in the hull so see if they could patch it and they tried both methods from the inside of the boat and the inside of the boat. On the inside of the boat they bailed out the water and put the tape patch in place, it wasn’t perfect but it did slow the leak down. But when they tried to patch it from the outside the tape wouldn’t stick because it was underwater.

Our word for the day: FOTHERING — tying a sail over a hole in a ship’s hull to make a temporary patch.

Ah, shouldn’t the tape go on the outside?

To hack reality, you have to go inside your mind.
