Ok, a couple things could happen here. Jeff and Jill go up the hill to fetch a pail of water and live happily……but Danae hooks up the Wiley Bears for a free meal of Butterfly’s and Jill and they wait silently at the top of the hill for them.

Yeah, I have also. They tend to vote Republican. The Trump candidacy will put that filter to the ultimate test.

Some of the commentators here have strong – every cartoon is not a political statement – filters on. They never get it.

I read comics, any comic, for the amusement value. The word “amusement” comes from the Greek word “muse” which means, to think. The “a” prefix is to produce the negative, not. So amusement means " to not think". Try it sometime. Many of you may actually have some or more fun.

Can you political clowns go away and leave the comics to those of us who aren’t consumed by our fear and/or hatred? Thanks.

No, I think what Jill means is that perfection doesn’t last forever and the idea that butterflies have such a short life only enhances that ephemeral beauty.

That being said, someone should remind Jill that butterflies sip poop.

Keep it up, Jill. . .love the smile. . .and the thought and appreciation for the small things in life. . .except mosquitos and cockroaches. . .

For some reason, our current crop of Presidential and Vice-Presidential hopefuls remind me of “Jill”.Scary!

The monarch butterflies have a migration route longer than many people with narrow minds will never travel as far from “home” in their lifetimes. Experience, and seeing more of the world around you, is better done by these insects, than far too many humans. Depth of experience, and IMAGINATION, not just length of life, is what supposedly separates us from “lesser” species and life forms.

Jill is life lived with wide eyes. While long lived indeed, lichen are plant plus animal in one body, with no eyes, just an ability to hang on for centuries, desolving the base it lives upon.

WE can live life better dancing like butterflies, than constantly trying to sting like a bee, an act that proves fatal to the bee we should remember.

No, butterflies are mean..When I was a kid, we had a rose garden out back and it was my job to prune them before the blooms went to seed. When the bees were out, they wouldn’t mind too much if you were poking around. I’d let them get in a flower and when they left, I’d prune it, no big deal..The butterflies, on the other hand, were vicious. Just getting into the bushes would have them start flapping in your face. Touch the rose and they’d start having a fit..Butterflies are mean.

I’m met political parties like that.
