There is a real shadow govt. Think of it as an auxiliary govt that can take over should the real one get destroyed. They do the jobs of govt without being govt. Testing themselves like war games do for the military. Saw on the corporate news once about ten years or so ago. I had been reading about before.

My house is way beyond the “suspects” stage. My feline overlords run the joint.

This is more like when someone steals your credit card info and goes shopping in your name. Some store websites will only send packages to the credit cards mailing address. Receiving packages they didn’t order is the first indication that their credit info has been hacked. However, in this case, it seems to be an inside job…. :P

So does “shadow government” have a different meaning in your part of town? In Canada the “shadow cabinet” is a team of opposition MP’s assigned to shadow and hold accountable the sitting government’s cabinet ministers.
