Hey, I taught in public schools for years. You can talk about gods all you want. All of them….To understand a culture you have to understand their beliefs……My favorites are the trickster gods….Like Nanabozho of the Algonquian peoples……Sure, he’d trick you you out of your pants, but he invented fishing, so how bad can he be?…..Fishing keeps men out of trouble….
It’s not that “out there”….billions of people read (and believe in) a book where the soon after the protagonist dies his body disappears and goes to heaven where he now sits on the right hand of god. The best part of this is that groups of believers all congregate together, celebrate this miracle, and then give 10% of all that they earn to organizations that promote the protagonist. Give it some time…danae will realize that there is million$ to be made in fake news.
Creationists deny the vastness and depth of the Universe, believing that some little mote of dirt orbiting about some nondescript yellow star is the centre of the Universe. They are an affront to the Creator, if one exists.
It isn’t so much a post-truth era as pre-learning people. Until people stop watching the Fox Propaganda Channel and stop listening to hate radio or reading insane blogs, they will not learn, and they will forever remain in their pre-learning state.
I like to show my 5 year old grandson comics that might appeal to his interests. Since He loves dinosaurs, I showed him this one. He says, “Grandpa, that is not a t rex, it is an allosaur.” (It’s the 3 digits on the forearms). I don’t think he’ll be a comics lover :)

danae, in addition to using spell-check, try the truth-check feature. you might be able to give history channels a little competition.

It would make for a fine fiction book. Never give fiction as fact. Someone will find out.

Every so often, I imagine our Creator as a middle-school student of an advanced race and that this universe is his science fair project.

I would like to think of this more like “alternate history”, akin to what Phillip K. Dick wrote about in The Man In The High Castle.
What would be more interesting is if Danae had a take on Colorado History.

It would be an outlier then, truly rare and hard to find.
