How about “triumph of hope over experience” station?

Yes, by all means vote, but hopefully after thinking things through, not just responding to emotion.

That sign would be accurate for all voters in today’s highly partisan environment. One side is angry at those in charge, and the other side is angry that anyone would dare cast an opposing vote.

Those who don’t vote are usually the first to complain when things don’t go their way.

I am not voting today … I did that weeks ago. It didn’t take me long to make up my mind. I voted for candidates that lied to me the least.

Everybody take a deep breath. Now, regardless of your politics, get out there and vote your conscience, and I certainly hope you all have taken the time to study the candidates and the issues, so you can vote intelligently and not viscerally. There’ll be plenty of time tomorrow for the whining to begin anew.

I don’t care which side of the political spectrum you’re on. Don’t come crying tomorrow about who won or lost, if you didn’t actively participate in the process of election ! If you don’t vote, then you’re not part of the solution but part of the problem !!

The ones I’m most angry at are the ones whose ads litter the television, the direct mail, every YouTube video, and signs blocking the visibility at every street corner.

Especially since I’ve already voted and none of their ads can have any effect on how I vote.

Been watching a history of WW2. Something I found chilling, One of the princple reasons for Hitlers rise was the rampent denial that the Germany lost WW1. There was a common belief that politicians and traitors were the cause of the defeat. It reminded me of the Democratic denial of the resuls of 2016.

For those who don’t vote, thank you. I vote in every election. You are saying that you trust my judgement to decide your future. Of course you are giving away your power. . . If enough people do that, our country dies.

Just a question/thought, for how many DECADES now have Americans gone to the polls to vote AGAINST their preceived “enemies”, instead of FOR something?? Been voting since first eligible at 21, some time ago, at every opportunity, and voted FOR measures or people which/who would serve people, and the nation best. Well, guess that does mean I voted against hatred, division, and destruction. Didn’t win for my side last time.

I’m tired of todays politics. I’m tired of politicians on both sides, especially the Clinton’s. They both need to just go away forever. I’m tired of the propaganda offered by both sides and their mouthpieces MSNBC and FOX. It’s a bunch of Krushchev’s beating their respective shoes on the podium. I’m 67 and have voted EVERY year since 1972 when I became eligible to vote. I’ve never been witness to so much petty behavior and name calling in my life. That includes playground when I was in elementary school. I just want to vomit!

Hmm… sorry to say, but that name reflects today’s America when folks are voting…

As for those of you who have stated that if you don’t vote, its your fault, here is another perspective on that topic…

George Carlin… Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says, “They suck”.

But where do people think these politicians come from? They don’t fall out of the sky. They don’t pass through a membrane from another reality.

No, they come from American homes, American families, American schools, American churches, American businesses, and they’re elected by American voters. This is the best we can do, folks. It’s what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out.

….I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don’t vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain.

Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, “If you don’t vote, you have no right to complain”, but where’s the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain.

I, on the other hand, who did not vote — who did not even leave the house on Election Day — am in no way responsible for what these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created. That I didn’t have anything to do with.

So when you’re having one of those swell elections that you like so much…on that day I will be doing essentially the same as you…the only difference is when I get done masturbating I’ll have a little something to show for it.
