Let’s be honest – anywhere is better than here.

Strange that so many of these strips take place in southern Arizona.

They must have made a real mess of things.

I used to live in a desert so good luck finding those greener pastures

The grass is always greener over the septic tank.

The grass is always greener at the other end of the rainbow .. sorry, freeway?

Well, they are in the desert so there will be greener pastures in any direction (eventually)

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence …. regardless of which side you are standing.

Just a metaphor for all the businesses and people leaving California.

They both may find Soylent Green pastures!

The steer long tried both ways.

Speaks volumes that you have to hitchhike to get there.

Well, if you’re in the middle of a desert it’s greener pastures either way.

The Song, Hey, Look Me Over contained the message, “I figure whenever you’re down and out there’s nowhere to go but up.” Although these guys are too well dressed to have hit rock bottom.

Wherever you go, there you are.

Reminds me of a B Kliban strip where two guys are about to meet on a hill, traveling in opposite directions with 2 signs saying “Nirvana 7 miles”…

That’s why I never look for greener pastures. I just look for peace and contentment. If that peace is in the middle of a desert, that’s fine too!

Whatever your shade of green.

There are reports that many folks are leaving the cities for the open plains and the mountain states. There are so many, the voter roles are being revised almost monthly. It suggests that the pollsters’ predictions of election outcomes might be ‘just a tad’ more complicated.

It also appears that many of the former city dwellers are going to be surprised [shocked, maybe?] by the political and social differences they encounter.

Wherever you go, it’ll be like what you left behind. You bring it with you.

Not EVERYWHERE. Lot’s of places in “FLY OVER” country don’t have one near By! That’s why we like it here. You can keep both coasts. Happy Ulcers.

Gotta admit. Either direction will be greener, eventually.

The problem with trying to find a better life by moving is that wherever you move to, there you are.

The “winter of discontent” that will last year round. Their own attitude will influence how “green” things will be.

“No matter where you go. There you are.” Sometimes it’s not “better” you’re looking for. Just different.

Those two guys need to talk with each other. Each knows something the other needs to know.

If you’re smack dab in the middle of nowhere any direction leads to greener pastures.

On Highway 4 in the Sierra foothills in Northern CA there’s a crossroads where the sign points in opposite directions to Eugene and Milton.

One man’s meat is another man’s poison.

The grass may look greener on the other side of the fence … but it is always just as hard to cut!!!

I guess I must be an oddball. l’m perfectly content with where I am, what I have and who I am. Believe it or not.

Within the past few days, I saw another comic strip just like this, but with a newlywed couple whose car broke down.

The signs could also read “Other side of the road”.

Essentially, to each his own. Or perhaps, one man’s meat is another man’s poison.
