Magats hate the entire concept of fact checking because they also hate the idea of facts.

They are dedicated to facts being whatever Their Messiah says they are.

What will the hurricane path be? The Messiah’s sharpie will tell you. Any meteorologist who says differently is to be fired and possibly punished.

What’s this Fact Checking craze you speak of? When did it start?

The joke in this cartoon is that any legislator will ever spend any time behind bars. Former US Rep. George Santos was guilty of fraud and supposedly faces up to 22 years in federal prison. But of course, he’d already been expelled from the HR, so it’s not as if a current legislator will serve hard time.

Prison beds are usually concrete slabs with a thin foam pad. This shows regular beds. Must be a minimum security federal prison (“Club Fed”).

One side calls it fact checking, the other side calls it nit picking.

One side refuses to debate if the moderators fact-check.

The truth and facts don’t change. Trying to change them is nothing but a grift, a scam, a fallacy, a conspiracy, a lie and a con job.

Interesting — NO magat comments, so far.

Have they become uneasy when the word ‘fact’ is even mentioned?

My plan for a sensible campaign-finance regime:

    (1) Any individual citizen could donate up to $1000 (indexed for inflation) per election to any candidate running in the same jurisdiction where the citizen lives (city-wide for mayor, statewide for governor, nationwide for president, etc.).

    (2) No organizations (businesses, non-profits, churches, governmental entities) would be allowed to donate at all, nor to reimburse or in any way reward private citizens for doing so.

    (3) Candidates would be required to make full disclosure of all contributions received 6 months, 3 months, 2 months, 1 month, and 2 weeks before the election.

    (4) Illegal contributions must be refused or returned within 5 days of receipt. Any such that are retained in excess of 2% of a candidate’s total donations will disqualify the candidate from being elected.

As exhibited by Trump, politicians have a golden do not serve hard time card. I wonder if they knew that their future home would be in general population at San Quentin and not a federal country club. That they’d give it up. How many different items has Trump hawked in the last year? And that isn’t a scam?

Hmmm, NO magat comments at all about a comic that mentions facts.
