Is that Acceleratti incredibilis, Hot-roddicus supersonicus, Speedipus rex, Digoutius-unbelieveablii, or Batoutahelius? Or maybe it’s just good old Geococcyx californianus.
Geococcyx californianus is the actual classification name of the Greater Roadrunner. Don’t ask me – I didn’t name it . That was a guy named René Primevère Lesson back in 1829, when California covered a lot more territory than it does today. By the way, that name wasn’t used in a Coyote & Roadrunner cartoon until 2003, The Whizzard of Ow.
I know we have roadrunners around here, but since moving to AZ in ‘98 I’ve only seen one twice. Best was one standing at my patio doors- startled me so that I just admired and forgot to make note of how tall (may have been 18-20").
It’s a cartoon. The Roadrunner will jump out of the can unscathed, say “Beep! Beep!”, and run off. Wile E. Coyote will then look in the can in shock, and the TNT will go off in his face. :-P

Unfortunately, Wiley E. Coyote still had to cross the train tracks to buy the can.
