One more political comment? The post office is bankrupt, but the lesser cause is the ever shrinking first class mail. A greater reason is that the government, in its infinite wisdom, decreed that the post office, a quasi-independent agency, must fully fund it’s pension liability. Now. Never mind that the US Government does not do this (they can print more cash as needed), and even raids the Social Security trust fund for general expenditures, while leaving IOUs. Never mind that most companies do not do this. But only the Post Office.

There were NO cuts!Just that the programs wouldn’t increase by the expected amounts.If they got rid of base line budgeting, they could start over, reduce fraud and waste—-and we, the people would NEVER notice the difference (except that maybe taxes would go down!)

And the mother can’t get undressed except on Casual Friday.
