I’ve come close to sending something I definitely would have dearly regretted but fortunately was able to catch it before it went into cyberspace. Theses days I’m a lot more cautious having several such close calls in the past. One “send” key pushed can be devastating.

Send/delete. Who cares. Every self-respecting boss has installed a keyboard logger on all PCs.

Use Notepad for those. It doesn’t auto-save and doesn’t forward to other apps.

Write it on paper with a pen, and don’t leave it at your desk.
